From the thighs we move on down to the knees. The general direction now continues to be downward. The Tenth House is ruled by Capricorn, and concerns time, respect, work, and being seen out in the world by others in some manner or another.
The Tenth House is not a whole lot of fun to most people. Rather, it is somewhat like a stern father. When you fill out an application for a job or draft a legal document, you leave out many things that might be quite humorous or entertaining. (Usually, I am aware there are some non-typical employers out there) Instead, you stick to the facts and recite boring details about things you have done so the person reading the material you submitted gets the idea that you have experience so they will want to hire you and ideally pay you money. (preferably more)
Capricorn then is symbolized by the Mountain Goat, and he/she has a long slog up the mountain. Goats, though, are driven creatures. They will continue to climb a mountain or anything else once their mind is set to it.
Work that appertains to authority is featured here, as when one is slowly climbing a mountain one should hopefully gain expertise along the way that is valuable.
The Fourth House, we will recall, is the lowest point in the chart. The Tenth House is the highest place in the chart. Here you are at your most visible. When you get to the top of the mountain, everyone can see you from down below. This is not where you go to nurture yourself, but instead you do this to gain some form of recognition or understanding that will push you to your limits. Once you find those, well you will have to move on into the Eleventh House.
